Please Ignore The Spelling...  Has anyone reading this with Dystonia or spasms that’s had a CT Scan? Or a CT Scan in general, who can give an overview of what one is like? I've been asked today to go in for an 'urgent' but not emergency one, on Monday and a combination of Botox flu and being pretty spoonless (http://butyoudontlooksick.com/navigati The Radiographer said to take a big dose of my muscle relaxants. But wasn't certain if someone could help hold me down. I was told in the leaflet I would be laid on a bed with my legs immobilised by foam supports but my dystonic spasms tend to fight any kind of restrictions/stretching and get worse when I'm Laid down. I'm usually sedated for MRIs but never had a CT before, any advice would be gratefully appreciated. Considering what a rubbish few months I have had regarding my dystonia stuff, I am completely shocked I managed to do this. I honestly went in yesterday expecting a high 2.2 or at best a low 2.1. Locking myself away with the laptop for ages has paid off, I guess, ha! So yeah many many thanks to everyone that has helped me along the way :-) I still can't believe it. I also apologise for this ego-trip of an entry, ha! Hello All I apologise for not being around! I can never get onto LJ as I never have time at uni and I still have a rubbish connection in my flat. Not much to update on except that my dystonia is progressing yet uni is going well but I'm really scared about how it's going to effect my athletics. For some bizzare reason loads of websites arnt working on my wireless connection in my uni halls of residence(they do when Im at hone using a different wireless connection!!)and one that keeps comming up as 'cannot find server' is my LJ friends list and this update page has just started working! Basically I HAVE NO INTERNET.It takes me forever and a day to get onto livejournal at uni and forever and a day to even get to the LRC hence no LJ!However this is about to be changed come Thursday or Friday My brand spanking new laptop,printer,copier,scanner AND something I speak into so I can type when my hands are spasmed (which deffinatley means lots of updates and comments!)will be arriving,oh and I have wirless net in my flat YES! So yes recently I have just been doing the usual uni,gigs,sport and reading haha!I realised that my neurologist doesn't have a clue whats going on with me however I got some snazzy little wrist supports so I look like a grandma(SEXY!).I am also lusting after a pretty new wheelchair so anyone that wants to give me money or a wheelchair making machine it would be very appriciated! Oh yes!On friday providing I am better(see below!)I am going on tour with Stu's band for the weekend which shall be AWESOME! Anyways yes I hope everyone is alright and I tire of typing now so here is my copied enrty of bore-space(I am sorry if you have read this already but I am a loser!) [B][U]TODAY[/B][/U] The stuuppiidd hospital have messed up again and made my immune system go haywire(I had a small tooth ache and somehow thats made me body fly the white flag!)and now I have a raging infection which hurts everywhere. So I am sat at home(came back to boro to be looked after by me mam..what a wuss!)being bored and getting my mind warped by daytime tv. However I have read Hey Nostradamus! by Douglas Copeland which has banished my boredom amazingly.What an excellent and darkly witty book.However it has gave me an awful fear of firecrackers and this time of the year is not the time to be scared of firecrackers. Also listening to Fiffteen and Major Matt Mason has managed to keep me somewhat sane. I hope to be better by friday so I can go on the tour and get back to the wonder that is Newcastle and university life.I will although miss my mams cooking..even if I have been living off soup and toffutti since saturday,its alot better than pastaNsauce[yes ONE word] and everything served with toast(my face is swollen and my mouth hurts-I look a picture I can tell ya!!) So yes last night it was decided that we(Me and Ruthy)go to both Lave&ignite and then the crown.Only after we went to Issacs for tea,thing is we got there and they told us food had been off for 6 days due to a cut in hot water. A couple of port and lemons later,Ruth snuck in some chips and salad to munch on. It was nice,kinda,I think. We then went into Lava&Ignite.My little sister was out,she is alot more collected than me and I constantly amused and embarassed her in equal measures. Lava&Ignite was good,it had super cheap drinks and was super accessed.It also had comedy confused chavs for good measure.However after getting drunk on the cheap drinks and then realising that in the two hours of being there I had only recognised two songs which made me feel oh so painfully uncool and old. So me and Ruth went to the Crown. On the way there we realised that a certain person should not dye their hair so blonde and tan their skin so orange, as it may blind people.They also should realise that discount clothes shops are not a sub-cultue in themselves.(Ha bitchy if you have no idea what I'm on about,funny if you do!..spite us ey!) The Crown was pretty much the ususal.Me and Ruth chatted in the toilets for too long.The bouncers thought we were drinking our own booze.Oh I miss them days. While having a very fun boogie and drinking a very luscious Cider and Black,I noticed a man and a woman starring at me and I thought,if they come onto me for three way sex cos they like girls in glasses or something,I will scream. But oh no,It was far far worse.(Note a disabilty rant is to come along..) Fat german woman:'Excuse me,I am a Doctor, from Germany,I have been watching you dance' Me:Yes? Fat German woman:I can not see how you are disabled. Me:Um the wheelchair? Fat german woman:You do not need that I know you can walk,I can't see anyway you are disabled. Me:HAHAHAHAHAHA! [I ignore her for a while,she comes back.] Fat German Woman:NO NO...This is not good,I am a doctor,In Germany many people are like you. Me:What,Drunk? Fat German Woman:Cheating the system,for benefits.You are not in need of a wheelchair. (This I took very personally,she was calling me a liar!I was also very drunk and more confrontational than usual) Me:I feel bad for your paitents as you are very rude and obviously have no idea that people in wheelchairs have varying disabilities.You are a dickhead. (she then squares up to me,she is short and fat,her small male freind is looking on in shock,Ruth is shouting at the woman) Fat German woman:You are not disabled.You can walk,you make me sick. Me: (I then explain what my disabilty is in over simplified terms as now I realise she is such a retard that she is probably not a doctor.I explain I have been unable to walk since I was 13 and used wlaking aids since I was 2.I also showed her my madopar tablets.Madopar is a popular drug used in Parkinsons Disease,I assumed this would get through to her.) Fat german woman:No,No,NO!They are not yours,you can walk!People have told me that when you get out of night club you walk..you walk to the pizza shop. Me:Fucking Hell,why don't you just gas me like Hitler!(Ok not my most mature moment!) [I talk to Ruth,Ruth calms me down.] Fat German Woman:Get out of your chair.I know you can walk. Me:(At this point I was enraged,I took of my shoes,rolled up my trouser leg and showed her that I have 42 scars over my two legs,no muscle tone from my knee down and a fixed posture of my feet.IE:Impossible to fake,it means I CAN'T WALK!)Why would I pay £2000 for a wheelchair. Fat German Woman:People have told me you can walk. Me:What people,unless I went clubbing before I was 13,No one will have said that,You are a Liar. Fat German Woman:ErRRrr ok..Yes well you don't look disabled.Why did you do this to yourself. Me:Why are you so fat? Fat German Woman:I do not understand. Me:I think you are faking being fat. Fat German woman:What are you on about. Me:YES. [She then walks off..after bar staff give her the evil eye.I apologise for being so heated but I also said 'you is blatently the rudest least educated person I have ever met'] Right so first things first,I usually find this funny 'cos why would anyone spend there night trying to disprove my disability.Pretty boring really. Also what gives her the right to question me,call me a liar.I would understand if she was assesing me for benefits but no she is just some random in a club. I honestly don't mind answering questions people have about my disabilty,although I do wonder why when people I have never met before are concerned with my health issues.Maybe they think I'm contagious.I sometimes think people are a bit rude,like I would never think of asking someone..well do you have sex,which happens alot(I normally answer why yes hot sex,but lord I'm glad it's not with you)Yet this woman was not curious she was down right audcious!Who the hell is she!GrrrRRrrrRRrrr! Another point is I know many people in wheelchairs that can walk a little but need a wheelchair either so they are not walking the pace of a snail or that it is more practical for them in terms of balance and pain reduction! I really shouldn't waste my time writing about her I guess,but I have never encountered anyone tell me that I am a liar so incessently.I have had people say that I look to healthy to be in a wheelchair or that I'm too young.This is ussually never in an offensive tone more of an inquiring tone.I answer politely and they recline in what they said and apologise.However this hag took up 30 minutes of my drinking and dancing time to tell me I was liar. Ok so me and Ruth have decided against going out on Saturday as she has work at 7.30 am and I should really go and sort out the train tickets for the leeds-london trip. So it was decided that we shall go to Issacs for tea tonight and then go to a nightclub. Now here is the dilema do we go to the crown or Lava&Ignite.
